For any high school or college student who has dyslexia, dysgraphia, or struggles with executive functioning, we offer a one-time, 4-day evening workshop.
Each student will walk away with a personalized toolbelt of resources and strategies for academic success. Perfect for anyone who wants to better handle the increased rigor and quantity of reading, writing and time-management in higher education.
Begin with a 1 hour one-to-one consultation meeting to assess target areas and set personal learning goals.
Maintain individualized instruction while benefiting from the social dynamic of working alongside peers.
Skills we cover:
Introduction to text-to-speech tools, dictation supports, digital dictionaries, proofreading tools, and online organizational systems
Pre-writing strategies for a variety of writing assignments
How to break down a syllabus
Backwards planning of large assignments
Weekly calendar chunking
Independence in technology use and project planning
Parental coaching (during an end-of-session meeting) to reinforce the continued practice of literacy skills
