Join us for multi-sensory, small-group, structured literacy intervention using the Wilson Reading System. Built for any 1st - 8th grade student who has dyslexia, dysgraphia, or general literacy struggles that negatively impact their learning or self-confidence.

Kick off with a FREE individual comprehensive informal assessment with each student, parents or guardians, and other professionals to assess target areas and set individual learning goals.

SECTIONS

With two 90-minute blocks a week, students will receive a total of three hours of instruction allowing them to complete two full Wilson lessons. This is the minimum amount of intervention recommended to successfully close gaps. read more about the Wilson Reading system here.

*All sections have a guaranteed 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio and incorporate individual goals to boost the learner's outlook on all things literacy.

Approach

 

Each student will receive:

Individualized structured literacy intervention in a small group setting, including:

  • Systematic decoding and encoding instruction (utilizing the Wilson Reading System)
  • Fluency practice and tracking
  • Concrete comprehension strategies (utilizing Comprehension SOS, Bloom's Taxonomy of Questions and the Visualizing & Verbalizing Method)
  • Writing content and organization skills (utilizing the SQ Write Curriculum)
  • Toolbelt of free assistive technology supports
  • Increased reading stamina
  • Targeted vocabulary instruction
  • Easy-to-implement interventions for parents and guardians to continue support at home (or further referral for continued intervention).

*Pre-registration is required (via phone or online booking through our website). Spaces are limited, so registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Booking for Fall 2018 Group Sessions will open August 1st.

Cost

A sliding scale application for Price Points B and C is available below. Reduced prices are determined based on income, frequency of services and are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please reach out to request the reduced price application. In addition, there are a limited number of full-ride scholarships available for the Fall 2018 Group Sessions. Please reach out via email to request an application.

All payments are due the Monday of each week of instruction: 
$45 per hour

price point B

All payments are due the Monday of each week of instruction:
$35 per hour

price point c

All payments are due the Monday of each week of instruction:
$25 per hour

*Clients are subject to a $25 late fee for every week payments are not made on time and for cancellations without 24 hours notice.
