What do individual sessions look like at Redwood Literacy?

Content they cover:

  • Math Intervention, utilizing JUMP Math and The Landmark School Resources
  • Executive Functioning Intensives, tailored to each student
  • Writing Intensives, utilizing SQ Write
  • Assistive Technology Intensives
  • Test Prep Intensives
  • Comprehension Intervention, utilizing Visualizing & Verbalizing by Lindamood-Bell
  • Long distance Skype sessions
  • Comprehensive Literacy Intervention for High School and College Students, tailored to each student
  • All Wilson Reading Instruction, Books 6-12

Who they are for:

  • Any high school student, college student or adult looking to improve their reading stamina, note-taking skills, writing abilities or spelling
  • Wilson Reading students who are in Book 7 or higher
  • Wilson Reading students who want one-on-one intervention or who cannot make the appropriate group session time-slot work
  • Students of all ages looking for specific intervention outside of the Wilson Reading System curriculum

Time frame:

  • 60-minute, 90-minute and 120-minute blocks are available
  • The last 5 minutes of each session are used for documentation


  • We offer a three-tiered payment scale based on income, frequency and types of services. Prices range from $75-$100 an hour. Please contact us for more information or to request an application for a reduced price. There is also a prepayment discount for those who pay by the 1st of every month for that month's sessions (exact discount TBD at booking).  

Redwood Literacy is great! They have a talent of zoning in on what is needed to help get the results that will really help their clients. Since my college-aged daughter has been tutored by Kait, her grades have increased dramatically and she is really enjoying the academic challenges of college.
