On Site Dyslexia Screeners and Reading Assessments

Redwood also provides on site screeners and assessments in Lincoln Park to help families get clear answers and next steps. These offerings support both families who want clarity before starting tutoring and families who want data to guide school conversations and instructional planning.

20-Minute Academic Clarity Plan

This option includes a DIBELS benchmark assessment plus a child specific roadmap for instruction. The plan highlights strengths, areas of need, priority skills, progress monitoring measures, and a precise sequence of what to teach first and next, giving educators a targeted, actionable path to support student growth.

Typical time: 20 to 30 minutes.

FAR SF Dyslexia Screening Form
The Feifer Assessment of Reading Screening Form measures the underlying reading processes most associated with dyslexia risk. Results indicate whether a student’s profile shows elevated risk and whether a full diagnostic evaluation would be warranted, while also clarifying which foundational reading processes may need targeted support.

Typical time: 20 to 30 minutes.
WIST Reading and Spelling
The Word Identification and Spelling Test evaluates a student’s word reading accuracy, spelling, and sound symbol knowledge compared to same age peers. The results help clarify how a student is performing in the core skill areas that directly influence decoding, spelling development, and overall literacy growth.

Typical time: 20 to 30 minutes.
GORT 5 Reading Fluency and Comprehension
The Gray Oral Reading Test measures how efficiently a student reads connected text and how well they understand what they read. It provides norm referenced data on reading rate, accuracy, and comprehension, helping identify whether fluency, language comprehension, or both are contributing to reading difficulty.

Typical time: 30 to 45 minutes.
