If you have ever sat at the kitchen table thinking “I know my child is smart — why is school this hard for them?” — you are not alone, and you are not wrong.
This year in East Nashville is founder-led
I’m Kait Feriante, Co-Founder of Redwood Literacy and a national expert in dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. My husband Andre and I moved our family to East Nashville to open this Learning Center ourselves.
That means something specific for this school year: I am personally teaching a limited cohort of Nashville students — small groups and one-to-one. Not a franchise. Not a hired manager. The person who built the Redwood Method is the person in the room with your child.
That cohort has a fixed number of seats, because I teach Monday through Thursday, afternoons only — every instructional slot at this location begins after 12:00 PM. When the seats are gone, they’re gone for the year.
Come after bedtime. This hour is for the grown-ups.
We set this at 7:00 PM on purpose. Leave the kids at home, bring both parents if you can, and have the conversation you never get to finish with small people in the room. Andre and I will both be here. Coffee and something sweet will be out.
Ask us anything about dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADHD. Walk the space. See the classrooms.
What you’re actually looking at: The Redwood Method
The year I got my kid back.
We are not homework help, and we are not hourly tutoring. The Redwood Method is a 12-month remediation program built for one child:
- A certified specialist, teaching a research-based plan written for your child’s specific gaps
- Guaranteed academic progress, measured on national norm-referenced benchmark data — not our opinion of how it’s going. Read exactly what our 12-week DIBELS guarantee means, and what it doesn’t.
- Progress monitoring every quarter, in real numbers, plus a first-win report at day 30
- We collaborate with your child’s school and write the school-facing report ourselves
- Access to the entire national Redwood specialist team — reading, writing, math, and executive function — not just one tutor
- Scheduling we manage, including rescheduling, plus four weeks off a year already built into your tuition
- A 30-day fit guarantee: switch instructor or schedule free in the first 30 days
The goal is a graduation, not a subscription.
Start with a trial session: the Academic Clarity Plan
Step one for every family is an Academic Clarity Plan — a working session where your child sits down with me, I see exactly how they learn, and you leave knowing where the gaps are and what to do about them.
It’s included at no cost when you enroll in the Redwood Method. If you’d rather start there and decide afterward, you can book it on its own for $150.
Tuition
We are not the cheapest, and we don’t try to be. The Redwood Method is a year-long program, billed every four weeks:
| Program | Every 4 weeks |
|---|---|
| Small group (2×/week) | $660 |
| One-to-one (2×/week) | $1,320 |
Higher dosage prices up proportionally. Four weeks off a year are already built in — you are not paying for 52 weeks.
Who we’re honestly not for
- Families looking for homework help or hourly tutoring
- Families who want to try it for a month and see — consistency is the mechanism
- Families whose child is already making measured growth with a certified specialist at school. If what you’re doing is working, you don’t need us.
If price is the deciding factor, we’re genuinely not the right fit. If you’ve already done the evaluation, sat through the IEP meeting, tried a tutor that didn’t work, and you’re out of patience with wait-and-see — that’s exactly who we built this for.
Bring your questions — especially these
- What do my child’s test scores actually mean?
- Is what the school is offering enough?
- How long does this really take?
- What funding is available here in Tennessee? (There is more than most families know about.)
